"You guys must take note that you guys will no longer be juniors and you guys are gonna be seniors. Don't be like Haziqah. She always wanna become junior." Said captain to the new committee members.
No. I'm not hurt by his words. But those words just made me think about myself.
I'm so used to being the youngest. I'm the youngest in my family as well as in my clan, be it in silat or class. Ever since i was a kid, i told my self that i should be grateful that i'm still a kid (at that point of time) because kids wouldn't have huge problems like adults. Well, that kiddy feeling had been with me...... until...... i reached poly level.
When I entered poly, a lot of things changed. Different environment, different people, different atmosphere. To be precise, An Unexpected Change. Well initially, when I was in my first year, i didn't have any problems in maintaining that kiddy feeling inside me. However, as i moved on to second year, i feel the need to get rid of my kiddy feelings. My second year life has been filled with a lot of responsibilities, problems oops i mean challenges and commitments. But still, I told myself not to let that kiddy feeling go.
And then one day, i had lunch with my friend. And we talked about growing up and the fact that the both of us don't wanna grow up. As we were talking about it, she concluded the conversation by saying "But until when?" meaning till when we don't wanna grow up. That makes me ponder.
I should thank those people who gave me honest views about myself. And there's a few more reasons other than what I've written, for my decision to be a more grown up and matured girl. Amin, InsyaAllah
