I remembered last time one of the titles of my posts was; Is love good or bad? Now i would answer, depends. When there's a good guy, it will usually come with a bad guy. So does love. There's bad love and there's also good love. It comes in a package. =)
When we first hear the word 'love', BGR would usually come out first in our minds. But lets just erase that part first and start with the love that i find very meaningful.
Love for family.
Ever since, 1st march 2005 i knew that my life would change drastically. I lost a person whom i really love. It felt like a dream. I couldn't believe he's gone but i know Allah loves him more and He won't test us beyond our abilities. Then i knew that there's only the three of us, mum, bro and I. Well basically they are the most important people in my life now. Although my age gap with mum is 40 years, i'm very thankful with the fact that she's like a best friend who will always be there for me when i need her. I'd talk to her about everything and i'm very thankful she educated me with both ukhrawi and duniawi knowledge. Every time when we talked she never failed to give her views and usually i'd listen to them. i know she loves me. Once, i told her about a guy who likes me, i was not so sure whether should i talk about this to her or not because i know she doesn't approve any of her children to have BGR.But my intention was to just share my stories with her and not to have any BGR as i have no feelings for the guy. When i told her, she was very calm when listening to me. And her reaction was simple she asked me "do you think it's the right time?" the she continued "Don't you want to excel in your studies? don't let this be a distraction." well what she said was right. Furthermore, the love i received from her is enough. I personally believe that if you received sufficient amount of love at home with your family, you wouldn't need the so called "love" from outsiders.
Love for friends.
Friends are those who are always with you. They will actually make a big impact in your life and you cannot deny that they will usually influence you. Well i strongly agree with the saying; "you are who you hang out with." Hence, i choose my close friends properly. Let me repeat, CLOSE friends!! it's okay to befriend with everyone but your CLOSE friends should be the ones that can guide you to the straight path, to the path of Allah. Alhamdulillah, Allah helped me. He sent me friends who can guide me. No, they are not perfect like angels but they are usually there to remind me and i will try my best to remind them too. We're still humans and we make mistakes. This is when we really need to help each other. :))

Love for someone non-halal for you
Ehem. let me just cough for awhile. Well this type of love i never really experienced before. I may never felt the "love" but i think i did have some crushes on a few ****. Initially, i just layankan my feelings. But i realised that it's harmful and dangerous. very very dangerous. yes it is a natural feeling but when you have these feelings, syaitan won't sit still. He'll go to you and whispers to you about how lovely that so called "love" is. The mixture of that 'love' and syaitan's whispering is not healthy.
Seorang penyair Arab berkata:
"Cinta merupakan anugerah takdir,
Pertama kali datang terlihat bak air yang tenang.
Namun ketika seseorang yang bersangkutan menerjuninya,
Tenggelamlah ia di dalamnya, tak tertolong lagi."
This syair really gave me a huge impact. As if it just gave me a one tight slap! *kepiaaak!!!*
*sigh* Now, i'm trying very hard to get out of this "love". So far so good. Alhamdulillah. InsyaAllah, with the help of Allah and with the help of the right people around me, this wish of mine will come true. Just need to try, try and try!!
In a nutshell, based on the above discussion (mcm write essay lah pulak) you readers would know why my answer to the question "is love good or bad?" is depends. =)
