Yesterday was my best friend's birthday. Her name is Dalilah. She has been my best friend for 6 years. But now she's not in Singapore, she furthers her studies in Melbourne, Australia. So i can only keep in touch with her via facebook.
on my birthday last year, she wrote a sweet note about me, why i'm her bestfriend.
The note:
"I have this special friend. Her name is Haziqah. We’ve been friends for around 10 years now, best friends for 6. Anyway…this is why we’ve been friends for so long:
She goes home with me almost everyday
She understands my secret codes (R, HK, parrot, etc)
She thinks I’m cute…and smart :):):)
We have different tastes in guys (so no competition hehe)
We would chitchat instead of read during Malay lessons at the library
She draws cute parrots/ whales/ luohans/ squids during Tafsir/ Physics/ Bio class
She can entertain me with her imitations of celebrities(Anuarina Zain, Ning Baizura, HK), Ustazahs(oops…cannot mention here), accents(jawo,Filipino,arab) and other classmates
We would ‘compare legs’ during Physics class
She distracts me in class with her HK hip dance (“No I can’t stop thinking about you girl” by SujuM starts playing in the background)
She helped me get into the 'intellectual' mood before Eng oral for O Levels
She scolds me when I’m slacking or feeling lazy
She listens to all my travel stories/ dreams/ worries
She advised me not to be ‘itchy’ in Australia
She (with Syera and Weda) gave me my first surprise birthday celebration earlier this year
She was one of my Partners-In-Crime on the night of 21 Aug 2010 (*winkwink*)
She cried when I left Singapore (sobsob) :,(
She's the first best friend I ever had :)
Dear Haziqah, HAPPY 17th BIRTHDAY!!! I might not be in Singapore to celebrate your birthday today or even the following ones :( but just think of all the good times we've had together...then maybe 4 years won't seem like a long time. I promise to be a good girl in Australia...and follow your advice(see no.13). Oh and don't forget to invite me to your wedding ehem2. Last but not least, enjoy yourself today...but not too much;) Ok I think I better stop now, before I have puffy eyes in maths class and before you get tired of reading this.

i was sooo touched. So this year, i made a video for her birthday. i think it is funny. i looked horrible in the vid as i was not feeling well. i kept sneezing in the vid but i dont care on how i look in the vid as long as i can make my bestfriend happy or at least made her smile.. :)
